  2. Click Authentication to expand it
  3. Enter your email address and click Send Code
  4. Check your inbox for an email from TruthPrism โ€” your trial code will be inside
  5. Enter the code in the access code field and click Save
๐Ÿ’ก If you don't see the email within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. Add noreply@truthprism.app to your contacts to prevent future emails going to spam.

  1. Click Authentication at the top of the app
  2. Paste or type your code into the access code field
  3. Click Save โ€” the code is remembered on your device
  4. Click Test to confirm it's working

After payment, your access code will be emailed to you within a few minutes. Enter it in the Authentication section to activate your checks.

How do I change my access code?

Click Authentication to expand it, then click the small Change code link below the status message. This clears the saved code so you can enter a new one.

๐Ÿ”Running a Check

Check a URL

Paste any article URL into the Check a URL field and tap Check This URL. TruthPrism will fetch the article and analyze it. Analysis typically takes 10โ€“20 seconds.

โš ๏ธ Paywalled articles (NYT, Washington Post, Substack, WSJ) may not load via URL. Use Check Custom Text instead.

Check Custom Text

Copy and paste article text directly into the Check Custom Text field and tap Check This Text. This always works regardless of paywalls.

What is the character limit?

Articles are analyzed up to 10,000 characters (~1,300 words). If an article is longer, only the first portion is analyzed and you'll see a truncation warning.

๐Ÿ’ก If you see a truncation warning on a short article checked via URL, the page may use an unusual structure. Try copying just the article text and using Check Custom Text instead.

How long does a check take?

Most checks complete in 10โ€“20 seconds. If a check seems stuck, wait up to 60 seconds before trying again.

How many checks do I have left?

After each check, a banner shows how many checks remain on your current code.

๐Ÿ“ŠUnderstanding Your Results

What is the Factual Score?

The Factual Score (1โ€“10) rates the accuracy of verifiable factual claims โ€” dates, statistics, quotes, attributions, and assertions that can be checked against trusted sources.

ScoreMeaning
8โ€“10Mostly or fully accurate โ€” claims verified by credible sources
4โ€“7Mixed accuracy โ€” some claims accurate, some questionable or false
1โ€“3Mostly or entirely inaccurate โ€” significant false claims identified

What is the Context Score?

The Context Score (1โ€“10) rates whether the article gives you the full picture โ€” framing, omitted context, cherry-picked data, and one-sided presentation.

ScoreMeaning
8โ€“10Balanced and complete โ€” fair framing, no significant omissions
4โ€“7Notable omissions or framing issues that affect interpretation
1โ€“3Highly misleading framing or major context omitted
๐Ÿ’ก An article can have a high Factual Score but a low Context Score โ€” the facts are accurate but the framing is selective or misleading.

What does "Click Here for Details" show?

The summary is a condensed version of the analysis. Click Here for Details shows the full report including specific claims, sources consulted, and a detailed score explanation.

How do I save a report?

Tap Save Summary for a text file with key findings, or Save Full Report for the complete analysis.

โš ๏ธCommon Issues

The app returned an error on my URL

The site likely blocked the request (common with paywalled or protected sites). Try copying the article text and using Check Custom Text instead.

The score seems wrong or surprising

TruthPrism uses AI which can make mistakes. Results should be a starting point for further research โ€” not a definitive verdict. Check the full report for the specific claims identified.

I didn't receive my trial or purchase code

  1. Check your spam or junk folder
  2. Search your inbox for emails from noreply@truthprism.app
  3. Wait a few minutes โ€” delivery can occasionally take up to 5 minutes
  4. If still nothing, contact support@truthprism.app

My access code isn't working

The article was truncated but it's short

TruthPrism tries to extract just the main article body from a page, ignoring navigation and sidebars. Some sites use unusual structures that make this harder. Copy just the article text and use Check Custom Text to be sure.
